Checklist
Make-Money Product Research Checklist
The exact checklist to run on any make-money offer before you spend a cent, so you buy knowing what it is instead of what the video wants you to think.
This is the checklist we run on every offer we review. Work through it before you buy anything. If you cannot answer a box, that gap is itself information.
1. The mechanism
- Can you say, in one sentence, who pays and for what?
- Where does the money actually come from (affiliate, ad, sale, lead)?
- Is traffic required, and if so, where would it come from?
- Is the "how" explained, or hidden behind a video until after you pay?
2. The real price
- What is the front-end price?
- What upsells or one-time offers appear at checkout, and at what prices?
- Are there recurring charges (tools, memberships, ad spend)?
- What is the realistic total to actually do this, not the sticker price?
3. The people
- Is a real creator or company named, or is it anonymous?
- Does the vendor have a traceable track record?
- Is the on-screen "spokesperson" verifiable, or likely a persona?
4. The proof
- Are testimonials verifiable, or stock photos and invented figures?
- Do income screenshots show profit, or just revenue (see the guide on why screenshots prove little)?
- What does the earnings disclaimer actually say?
5. The exit
- What are the refund terms, and who processes them?
- Are there reports of refund friction?
- Can you leave (unsubscribe, cancel) easily?
6. The verdict for you
- Is the underlying method legitimate, even if the marketing is not?
- Could a beginner in your situation realistically do this?
- If you bought it, what is the very first thing you would do?
Mechanism clear + price honest + real people + real proof + fair exit
= worth considering
Any of those missing = slow down
