Leo builds (@LeoBuilds_) is a faceless "building my way out of the 9-5" account with a progress bar in the header that reads 41%. He describes himself as a software engineer with 20-plus years of experience, now vibe-coding his way out of corporate and documenting the journey. The account is four months old and already enormous in volume. This page is our independent read of how it behaves, in numbers. He did not write it, and it is not something he can change by claiming a product, because there is no product.
His thesis is stated plainly and often: the right question in the AI era is not "what are you building," it is "how are you working on distribution." And to his credit, he lives it. He posts around eight times a day, build-in-public notes and AI-coding takes ("you can ship a web app for $0, why aren't you shipping?"), and then he runs one of the more efficient engagement machines in this directory. He is unusually transparent about it: he has posted that his roughly 300 replies a day take under three hours, because about 270 of them are replies to people commenting on his own posts, not cold grinding under strangers. That is a genuinely smart mechanic. Answering everyone who engages tells the algorithm your post is a conversation, which buys more reach, which brings more commenters. The audience has grown fast off the back of it.
So he is right about distribution, and he is good at it, which is exactly what makes him the sharpest test of the site's actual question. Distribution of what? There is no product here. No app, no service, no offer, no revenue, just an audience and a bar filling toward "out of the 9-5" with no number behind it. Building an audience first and monetizing later is a real strategy, the one the biggest account in this directory used. But it only pays off when the second half arrives, and the whole risk of preaching that distribution is the only thing that matters is that you can spend a year perfecting the engine and never ship the thing it was supposed to carry. He has built the reach. The reach is not the money. The money needs the half he keeps saying does not matter. The plays get their own breakdown in the panel.

Posting

High-volume build-in-public and AI hot takes: 'ship for $0', 'which models do you use', and a steady drumbeat that distribution matters more than building. About 8 a day, a third of them questions.
Commenting
196/ day
Engagement maximization: around 196 replies a day, but by his own account roughly 90% are answers to people commenting on his own posts, not cold grinding under others. Short, fast, and aimed at boosting his own reach.
- He is transparent about the machine: he says 300 replies a day takes under 3 hours because about 270 are replies on his own posts and only ~30 go out to others.
- Roughly 37,000 posts since May 2026 is a lot of motion for a four-month-old account, and the follower count (about 3,300) grew fast.
- The catch is the missing half: no product, no revenue, just an audience and a '41% out of the 9-5' progress bar. He preaches that distribution is the only question, but distribution of what is still unanswered.
