Ahmad, who posts as @asaridarr, is a clean example of a pattern you see all over indie X: a solo founder shipping more than one small product, growing an account fast, and doing it almost entirely through replies rather than posts. This page is our independent read of how that account actually behaves, in numbers, next to the products he is building.

He did not write any of the analysis below, and it is not something he can change by claiming a product. It is just what the public activity shows. The short version: he posts rarely, and when he does it is usually engagement-bait, a question, a poll, or a build-in-public milestone. Then he replies dozens of times a day, to hundreds of different accounts, mostly other builders. It has grown his following quickly.

Whether it grows his apps is the more interesting question, and it comes down to one thing: whether the people he talks to all day are the people his apps are actually for. The two plays behind these numbers, the posting strategy and the commenting strategy, each get their own breakdown, linked in the panel.

On X

Based on the last 6 days (Sept 12 to 17)

Posting

2/ day

Engagement-bait: mostly questions, polls, and build-in-public milestones, only around 2 a day.

Commenting

84/ day

Reply-guy grinding: around 84 replies a day to roughly 400 different accounts, almost all other builders.

  • About 40 times more replies than posts, and the reply grind only started around a month ago.
  • Most of the people he talks to are other founders and iOS devs, not the buyers his apps are built for.
  • 2,425 lifetime tweets since April 2023, the vast majority of them replies.
